Carla D. Mitchell, J.D.

Executive Director

Carla Mitchell has been with Solstice since 2018 and is passionate about helping her staff and residents live their best lives. She’s dedicated her professional career to senior issues, first as an elder law attorney, later as a lobbyist for AARP and finally finding her home in the senior living industry. As the daughter of a 22-year USAF veteran, Carla has lived all over the world. Though she is happy to call the Seattle area her home now, she still loves to travel and enjoys photography when away from the community.

Samantha Pabon

Director of Sales and Marketing

Sam Pabon is a former athlete and Chicago native who followed her heart to Seattle in 2015. After several years as a cosmetic business manager with Nordstrom, Sam joined the Solstice team as the Vibrant Life® director in 2018. After only a few months on the job, Sam had created such a thriving activities program she was offered the position of Sales and Marketing director, which she has held since August of 2019. Outside of work, Sam enjoys spending time with Marshall and their two children, yoga classes at the gym, finding a new restaurant, and watching her favorite sports teams.

Audrey Albini

Vibrant Life® Director

Born in Olathe, Kansas, Audrey Albini moved to Seattle in 2008 to take care of family and fell in love with the Northwest. After graduating from Evergreen State College in 2016, she spent her career working as a caregiver, in administrative roles and in customer service. She joined Solstice as Vibrant Life® director in September of 2019 and says she “couldn’t be happier to be here!” When she’s not planning fun things for the community, she spends time with her husband, Ivan, two dogs Joey and Charles, and her nearby extended family.

Moriah Cabral

Business Office Director

After working many years as a bookkeeper, Moriah Cabral joined an Everett senior living community as an office manager. With a desire for a shorter commute from her home in Burien and more family time, Moriah made the switch to our Solstice community. Away from the office, she enjoys spending time outdoors, especially camping with the rest of her family.

Olan Garcia

Building Services Director

The youngest of 13 children, and born on a family farm in Nebraska, Olan Garcia started his adult life as a chaplain’s assistant in the U.S. Army. Following his military service, he earned an associate degree in business and a theology certificate from Seattle University. After his wife’s passing, Olan raised their five children on his own and dedicated his life to helping others overcome obstacles, including working as maintenance director for a homeless shelter in Renton. He has found a home and a new family here at Solstice, where he continues to find joy and fulfillment in ensuring the safety and comfort of the residents.

Victor Sanchez

Culinary Services Director

Chef Vic Sanchez has been preparing meals and leading kitchen and dining staff in senior living communities for over 20 years. In 2018, he joined Normandy Park full time as the Culinary Services director. He formerly worked as a “floater” chef for Holiday Retirement and on more than one occasion assisted at Normandy Park providing support to the team. Vic prides himself on preparing healthy meals from scratch – baking fresh bread and preparing homemade soups and sauces for the residents. Vic and his family live in the Puyallup area.
