Moriah Cabral
Executive Director
After working many years as a bookkeeper, Moriah joined an Everett senior living community as an office manager. With a desire for a shorter commute from her home in Burien and more family time, Moriah made the switch to our Solstice community.
She previously served as Business Office Director and now serves as the Executive Director of Solstice Senior Living at Normandy Park.
Away from the office, she enjoys spending time outdoors, especially camping with the rest of her family.
Christopher Hicks
Director of Sales and Marketing
Christopher Hicks brings over a decade of experience in customer service to his role as Director of Sales and Marketing at Normandy Park. He previously served as leasing manager at Prime Residential in Federal Way, Washington, and lead service adviser at Burien Chevrolet. Currently, Christopher is pursuing an associate degree in business marketing from Green River College.
He is passionate about helping seniors find their next home and stay active, as well as the Solstice Culture Keeper “Take something ordinary and make it fun.”
In his free time, Christopher loves spending time with family and friends, traveling, camping, hiking, trying new restaurants, seeing movies, and following his favorite sports teams – the Seattle Sounders and Seahawks.
Fredrick Jones
Vibrant Life® Director
Fredrick Jones has worked in the senior living industry for over five years. He fell in love with Vibrant Life® and quickly was promoted to Director at his previous community. His favorite part of working with seniors is building connections. He loves seeing new friendships blossom and residents getting out of their apartments to participate in activities.
When he is off the clock, Fredrick loves spending time with his family and his nieces and nephews and exploring all that Seattle has to offer.
Doug Lu
Culinary Services Director
Doug Lu has served as a chef for nearly 30 years, working everywhere from 5-star restaurants to mom and pop shops. He has cooked in kitchens from New York to Seattle and now serves as Culinary Services Director here in Normandy Park. Doug’s favorite part of his job is making sure residents are smiling and happy after finishing a fresh, homecooked meal.
Doug has two children and has been with his current partner for the past seven years. Away from work, he enjoys finding new spots around Seattle to dine. He enjoys taking care of his three freshwater fish tanks and learning new recipes.
Dave Markwell
Business Office Director
Dave Markwell is the Business Office director for Solstice Senior Living at Normandy Park. Prior to joining the team, he spent 22 years self-employed in the real estate business, was a CrossFit gym coach and owner, and started and operated a community arcade in his hometown of Des Moines, Washington. Tying the strings together from an eclectic work history is Dave's passion for people. Helping folks have better days and lives has been a constant driver in every venture and adventure for Dave.
Away from work, Dave likes to putter in the yard, read a good book, and spend time with family and friends, ideally by a body of water.
Dean Elliot
Maintenance Director
Dean Elliot has worked for over 45 years in construction, commercial development and manufacturing. He previously worked for over six years at Fernwood in the Park, a retirement facility located in Normandy Park, and 10 years at Holiday Retirement, a senior living management company in Winter Park, Florida.
When he isn’t working, Dean enjoys riding his motorcycle and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
